The A.V. Club has some tickets to give away for a couple of upcoming shows at the Metro. The first is an early show with “Billionaire” Travie McCoy, Donnis, Pete Wentz’s new band Black Cards, XV, and Bad Rabbits on March 25. The second is Dance Gavin Dance’s Downtown Battle Mountain Tour 2011 on April 1, with I Wrestled A Bear Once, In Fear And Faith, Close To Home, Just Like Vinyl, and DJ Big Chocolate. Gym Class Heroes lead vocalist Travie McCoy has been trying to make a name for himself as a solo rapper, starting with his first solo album, 2010’s Lazarus. He’s on his way to becoming a billionaire, ya’ll.
On a completely different note, Dance Gavin Dance is a post-hardcore band hailing for Sacramento. The band’s fourth album is due out in March, and is sure to be full of lovely screaming and shrieking.
