Contest Win tickets to Zane Lamprey or The Infamous Stringdusters

Mr. Zane Lamprey

Today, The A.V. Club has hookups to two upcoming events to share with loyal Chicago readers. First, a pair of passes to Infamous Stringdusters and Trampled By Turtles at the Double Door Nov. 4, followed up nicely by five pairs of tickets to see Zane Lamprey at the House of Blues Nov. 11.

Both contests require those interested in entering to send an e-mail to ochicago@theonion.com. If you're looking to win tickets to the Stringdusters, send an email with "Stringdusters" in the subject line, while those looking to see Zane Lamprey do his thing should send one with "Zane" in the subject line. Please send separate e-mails for each event.

The highly acclaimed Infamous Stringdusters, are the new champions of young bluegrass. Despite their age, the Nashville group plays a repertoire of traditional and contemporary bluegrass that is said to be well beyond their years. The band’s debut, Fork In the Road, was considered the most highly acclaimed bluegrass album of 2007, and they won three awards at the International Bluegrass Music Associate Awards Ceremony—Emerging Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. The band has since released two more hit records and show no sign of stopping. If there was ever such thing as a safe-bet bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters would certainly be it.

Zane Lamprey specializes in alcohol-related humor. Lamprey is, perhaps, most well known for his television series, Three Sheets, on which he travels the world to discover and partake in foreign drinking customs. He has also authored a book, Three Sheets: Drinking Made Easy!, and hosted public festivals “Zano de Mayo” and “Zanetoberfest.”
