Hot Chip fans, Decider has some extra tickets for tonight's show we're giving away today. They'd normally set you back a whopping $25—guess these Brits don't like our semi-worthless currency—but you could get them for free by e-mailing promotions@theonion.com with "Hot Chip" in the subject line.
Occasionally, some band skips over from across the pond and enraptures American palates with Old World falsetto love serenades and nuances of progressive politics. Hot Chip is not that band. The cheeky ensemble’s recipe of synth, synth, percussion, and more synth is a savory roux for its delectably nonsensical lyrics. Made In The Dark, the latest offering since 2006’s The Warning, features the group advancing in both content and skill while remaining loyal to its unpretentious roots. Hot Chip, still the fellas that sang about Kraft dinners and Stevie Wonder’s blindness, is proof that the world sometimes needs a pastry chef, and no more.
Tonight's 18+ show begins at 8:15 and features openers Growing.
