Recap Yeasayer and Javelin at Austin's La Zona Rosa

Psych-pop act inches closer to getting it big time

Jason Nocito

Yeasayer’s recent, fantastic sophomore album, Odd Blood, is a marked turn toward accessibility for the psych-pop band; accordingly, its show tomorrow at the Metro sold out long ago. For those lucky enough to get a ticket, our Austin-based sister publication has a preview courtesy of its recap of Yeasayer’s April 10 show at Austin’s La Zona Rosa. For those without a ticket, a recap—no matter how well-written—is hardly better than the real thing, but at least there’s embedded video footage of “Sunrise.” Go ahead and get it (big time).
