You'd naturally expect a metal band, especially one called Bible Of The Devil, to churn out some blustery riffs and pompous lyrics. But the Chicago group tempers its Iron Maiden-style chord-chugs and two-guitar harmonies with choruses and hooks that welcome a bit of roots-rock and hair-metal lightheartedness. Sure, it's not the most original thing in metal, but the band keeps up the momentum on this year's Freedom Metal.
