There’s not a whole lot to say about the staggeringly awful hit factory that is the Black Eyed Peas—or at least, nothing that would matter. Whether it’s through earworms like “My Humps” and “Boom Boom Pow” or mom-jams like “I Gotta Feeling” (which recently became the first digital download to pass the 6 million mark), Fergie, Will.I.am, and the other two guys no one cares about have managed to brush off their critics and entrance millions of people worldwide, including the all-powerful Oprah. Opener T-Pain is widely credited with the recent popularization and omnipresence of Auto-Tune, so he's every bit as culpable yet untouchable. His most recent album, 2008’s Thr33 Ringz, featured a lineup of more conventional special guests, many of them heavy-hitters like T.I., Lil Wayne, and Mary J. Blige. As for a drop date for the finished follow-up, RevolveR, T-Pain claims he won’t release it until album sales pick up. So ... never?
