Brutal Beauty zeros in on Portland, Oregon’s roller derby league, candidly following the players through practices, competitions, and their lives outside the rink. The documentary goes beyond the noise and fishnets of the derby scene and gives the viewer a glimpse into what it’s like to have a network of 200 women who are tough as shit, and why they say derby isn’t “a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.”
