Cooler By The Lake’s newest single from its self-titled debut album is called “F**** Me With A Stick.” That’s a pretty tall order, but interested fans could always head to the Empty Bottle to watch the band and other musicians take on a good cause instead. Cooler By The Lake, a musical force led by Chicago karaoke legend Rory Lake, will be out in full thrash force to celebrate the DVD release of Arluck Time. The DVD features performances from last year’s memorial concert for Sweet Cobra guitarist Mat Arluck who died in 2009 after battling cancer. A portion of the DVD proceeds will be going to Grind For Life, a skateboard-friendly organization dedicated to making the lives of cancer patients easier.
