http://www.ticketfly.com/tickets/venue-details/?tfly_org_id=147 The Dollyrots, Ramova, The Cathy Santonies, and Faggy Pussy at Abbey Pub

The Dollyrots survived the embarrassment of getting discovered in a very un-punk Hewlett-Packard commercial to put out a decent first record, the ’60s girl-group-flavored Eat My Heart Out. The band hasn’t put its days of shilling behind it, though: The title track from 2007’s follow-up, Because I’m Awesome, was featured in both a Kohl’s commercial and the soundtrack to that spiritual sequel to Sid And Nancy and Suburbia et al., The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2. To be fair, The Dollyrots also owe a lot to Joan Jett, who signed them to her record label and informs the group’s love of stadium-sized female vocals and glam-meets-metal riffs.
