Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Fool's Gold, and Local Natives at Lincoln Hall
Given the fact that L.A.'s Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros is fronted by Alex Ebert, formerly of L.A. electro-rock group Ima Robot, it’s not too surprising the band would find a comfy foothold. Ima Robot’s momentum largely fizzled behind the quickly dissipating electro wave, leading Ebert toward the ensemble-style folk-pop of his newest alter ego, Edward Sharpe. Ebert conducts a 12-person band onstage, where he often accentuates his Devendra Banhart freak-folk look with bare feet.
