Baroque pop outfit Field Music turned in a set of off-kilter tunes with its 2005 debut self-titled album and 2007's Tones Of Town, two records that hardly set the indie world on fire but nonetheless quietly and consistently rewarded those who warmed to their charms. With ornamental strings, perky percussion tricks, and offbeat harmonies, Field Music songs answer to unpredictable structures.
