It’s no wonder that Welsh mean-core band Mclusky eventually imploded: All of that wonderful cynicism and crafted grouch was destined to burn out. Two groups formed from the split, Shooting At Unarmed Men and Future Of The Left, the latter of which features singer-guitarist Andy Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone (along with bassist/vocalist Kelson Mathias, formerly of Jarcrew). FOTL’s 2007 debut Curses was fraught with the same arsenic-laced wordplay and barbed guitar Mclusky fans had been missing; a follow-up due later this year reportedly makes judicious use of synthesizer, adding even more wires to the band’s tangled snarl.
