Most people probably think Seattle quintet Harvey Danger's story ended in the late '90s, after the success surrounding its single "Flagpole Sitta" peaked in 1998. That's not true: It ends this month with a handful of farewell shows. Chicago lucks out with a pair of them, but you'd do better to opt for the later show, which sees original Harvey Danger drummer Evan Sult's band Sleepy Kitty joining the bill—which practically guarantees that he'll join the headliners onstage for the musical equivalent of a group hug. Dead Sea Scrolls, a fan-service CD collecting all of Harvey Danger's rare and unreleased songs, will be available for sale only at these live shows. Consider tonight a chance to hear the last from the Danger—and then hear something new.
