Hulk Hogan at Borders Books and Music - N Michigan Ave
As Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler illustrates, the seemingly glamorous lives of professional wrestlers can be bookended with years of crippling depression, drug addiction, and Shakespearian tragedy. Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, became a huge star in the ring on the strength of his charismatic persona, not to mention his formidable muscular strength. After withdrawing from the ring, Hogan dabbled with starring in his own reality TV shows, but an onslaught of family problems ultimately pulled the plug on Hogan Knows Best: His son Nick was in a horrible car accident and his wife Linda left him. After weathering the storm, Hogan has written a memoir about his recent dark years titled My Life Outside The Ring—he’ll be appearing here days after its release.
