I Fight Dragons is the crime-fighting gamer’s answer to the pop rock scene. By blending sounds from old video game sound cards, warm harmonies, and pop-rock swag, the Chicago quintet has harnessed the power to take listeners right into the pages of a vintage Marvel comic. These digital sounds leave the console in the band’s live shows, where I Fight Dragons uses NES controllers as instruments on stage. After signing with Photo Finish/Atlantic in February 2010, I Fight Dragons toured with bands like 3OH!3 and dropped a second EP, Welcome To The Breakdown. Like the band’s first release, Welcome To The Breakdownhas the potential to ignite someone’s inner superhero with the kind of enthusiasm that might just tempt them to strap on a cape.
