Initially known as part of a hit-making Brill Building duo with Gerry Goffin, Carole King became famous in the '60s for writing other people's hits: Among her co-compositions are "One Fine Day" and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." After splitting—both personally and professionally—with Goffin, King launched a new career singing her own songs, only to have her star fade with the onset of less personal pop. On the Troubadour Reunion tour, King joins singer-songwriter James Taylor, who's credited as urging her to take center stage as an artist some 40 years ago. Taylor, whose soothing voice would make a cancer diagnosis over the phone sound not so bad, will likely dip into some covers and, hopefully, his well-worn classics like "Fire And Rain."
