If Joan Of Arc frontman Tim Kinsella ever wanted to become a grandfather, he's at least figuratively already earned his wish. After the Chicago band's formation in 1995, the Joan Of Arc side projects soon followed, which begat more side projects, until Joan Of Arc had become the patriarch of a sprawling family tree of underground bands. The Don't Mind Control variety show showcases just how prolific the Kinsella empire has become, with several bands, including Vacations, Jeremy Boyle, Lites Alive, Disappears, and Kinsella himself playing this one-off, family-reunion-style bonanza in support of the Joan Of Arc Presents: Don't Mind Control compilation record, which features 18 bands—each containing at least one member of Joan Of Arc at some point. Hey, if music doesn't work out, these guys could be doing business seminars on maximizing work output.
