Led by singer-guitarist Jeff Massey, The Steepwater Band echoes the Allman Brothers Band in its combination of big, edgy guitar sounds and classic old-school blues riffs. While Steepwater is certainly another roots-rock band for the dudes, it gets a friendly, fun sound out of its power-trio format, loosening up for plenty of guitar leads but never straying too far from a blues foundation. And hey, judging by the title of their most recent album, Grace And Melody, these guys know there's more to life than just running up and down blues scales.
