KMFDM, Army Of The Universe, 16 Volt, and Human Factors Lab at Bottom Lounge
Industrial monolith KMFDM started out in the mid-’80s, releasing a slew of nihilistic noise and grating electronics that helped make a name for the seminal Wax Trax! label, which played home to likeminded peers such as Ministry and Front 242. The group has remained active since, with founder Sascha Konietzko standing as the only constant member. The group’s latest album, the recent WTF?!, likely won’t convert new fans or re-energize old followers, but it’s a solid addition to a gracefully aging discography, which at this point seems like a minor miracle for an industrial band.
