Lollapalooza: The Killers + Jane's Addiction, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg, Deerhunter, Dan Deacon, Silversun Pickups at Grant ParkGrant Park 500 S Columbus Dr, Chicago, IL
Sunday could perhaps be the most jam-packed of Lollapalooza's three days, at least in terms of buzz-worthy bands. Closing things out tonight are the polarizing but proven retro-rock band The Killers, opposite Jane's Addiction's victory lap on the alt-rock nostalgia wave. Earlier on, classic-rock/The Velvet Underground icon Lou Reed will attempt to lure festgoers away from sets by one-time hip-hop revolutionary Snoop Dogg and shoegaze-psychedelic band Deerhunter. Electro-weirdo Dan Deacon's show will undoubtedly be another sight to behold, as even his "normal" shows are notorious for their level of crowd participation and bizarre antics. Also worth a look is '90s-flavored L.A. band Silversun Pickups, which recently released an excellent sophomore album, Swoon.
