Soulful pop/R&B group The Whispers have better song recognition than name recognition, having scored a couple of big hits that tend to blend in with similar sounds. Though they haven’t done much notable since 1990’s More Of The Night, that doesn’t take an ounce of goodness away from guilty-pleasure singles such as “Rock Steady.” (You know it: “We began to rock steady / Steady rockin’ all night long.”)
