It’s been nearly a decade since Peaches releasedThe Teaches Of Peaches, an album that dropped filthy electroclash tracks like “Fuck The Pain Away” and “Diddle My Skittle” on unsuspecting dance-floor freaks. The albums that followed—2003’sFatherfucker and 2006’s Impeach My Bush—didn’t stray far from the formula, and neither does the recent I Feel Cream. That doesn’t mean it’s not inspired: Simian Mobile Disco and German dance duo Digitalism each lend some production duties, and the aggression and swagger of her earlier work is on full (frontal) display. Opener Amanda Blank is in some ways Peaches’ heir apparent—a Philadelphia-based rapper who makes a point of talking dirty.
