But where Jackson retreated from the public eye, Kelly pops out albums and videos and insane new entries in the Trapped In The Closet series at a rapid clip. He’s unstoppable. To hold fans over between official releases, Kelly put out The Demo Tape mix-tape as part of DJ Drama’s legendary Gangsta Grillz series not too long ago. It’s a fun, comically oversexed, hook-filled romp through contemporary hip-hop and R&B that ranks as one of the year’s best releases. If Kelly’s forthcoming album is half as irresistible, it will be another winner.
