Having now lived long enough to see those comparisons to Interpol rendered moot, darkwave dance-rockers She Wants Revenge could be on the verge of a second wind if this current fascination with all things vampire continues. The group’s blood-drained electro certainly has the “cold comfort” thing down, and its songs—tales of S&M-lite tawdriness delivered in Justin Warfield’s mock-British monotone—are tailor-made for a Twilight crowd, who love the idea of being undead but aren’t quite ready to go all the way yet. Previewing its upcoming fifth album, Wake Up The Sleepers, Chicago’s always-stylish Kill Hannah plies its own heavily electronic rock, topped by Mat Devine’s breathy, boyish (or is it girlish?) voice.
