The Show 'n Tell Show, Letterform, Paul Koob, Indo Girls, and A Very Special Episode at Lincoln Hall

Between the onset of the AIDS epidemic, the rise of Reaganism, and the perpetual threat of nuclear annihilation, the ’80s were scary and confusing years in which to grow up. Thankfully, parents of the time left their kids to learn about the truly hard stuff from the best possible source: situation comedies. It’s hard to argue with the results, though—thanks to one “very special” episode of Diff’rent Strokes, an entire generation avoided molestation at the hands of kindly old bike salesmen. Couching such weighty issues within 30 minutes of sitcom fluff seems laughable today, and that’s just how the Alamo hopes you’ll react to its A Very Special Episode series.
