Never underestimate the power of Johns Flansburgh and Linnell. As the perennial geek-rock favorites They Might Be Giants, the duo has been poking at polka-punk, accordion jams, and nerdy pop nuggets for nearly 30 years. Though the group’s 120 Minutes-era prime is long gone, Linnell and Flansburgh have kept more than busy in the past few years, cranking out new albums both for children (Here Come The 123s, the recently released Here Comes Science) and regular grown-up folks, including The Else, a 2007 album co-produced by The Dust Brothers. The Johns hit the Vic for an early kids show and a later show for adults (well, anyone over the age of 14, really) where they’ll be playing Flood in its entirety.
