Mike Lust, former frontman of the underrated Chicago band Lustre King, set aside any remaining rock inhibitions with Tight Phantomz, a group he formed years ago with fellow LK member Jay Dandurand. The band’s 2005 debut, Crazy When Wet, brought a little David Lee Roth sex swagger to its dirty rockin’ blues. That incarnation of the group would disband a year later, but Lust decided to keep making music—and keep making music. His latest, Silk Prison, is a double album (36 tracks) that departs from his band's earlier swagger for something moodier. A release date hasn't been set, as Lust is still looking for a label.
