An Andersonville staple on Clark Street for 35 years, Andies has Mediterranean veggie options down to a science--from the mou-saka (baked zucchini, eggplant, potatoes, and carrots) to vegetarian couscous. Everyone else who craves meat won't be left munching on only rice and falafel, though: Andies offers several dishes heavy on beef, lamb, and seafood. Those craving protein might find the potato kibbie particularly inviting (boiled potatoes stuffed with seasoned beef, lamb, onions, and pine nuts). The bright, lightly decorated interior is spacious, seating more than 130 people, and outdoor seating is available when the weather doesn't suck. A full bar is also available.
