Avec serves Mediterranean cuisine and wine, with an extensive list of vintages from Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant looks like the inside of a wine crate: lots of wood and not much space, though people can eat at the long bar when the five tables are full. Salads are the house specialty, like the apple-and-celery salad, which is served with toasted almonds, shaved manchego cheese, and apple-cider vinaigrette.
