Opposite the Wrigley Field marquee since 1953, the Cubby Bear is accordingly more of a tourist destination than a neighborhood bar. Nonetheless, this Wrigleyville cliché boasts big numbers: 30,000 square feet, 5 projection screens, and 75 plasma TVs. Crowd control is managed with two floors, high ceilings, and five bars. Fears be quelled: The expansive central dance floor unites the party—locals and tourists alike—under one disco ball. Patrons enjoy Thursday’s $2 you-call-its and decent $9 cubby burgers.
