Depending on who you ask, Exit ("Chicago's original punk bar") is either the best or the worst place to finish of a Saturday night in Chicago. For some upstanding citizens it's a dingy, screeching
hell-hole, but for others it's a glorious punk-rock wallow outfitted with chains, bikes, and bad characters. The heavy black door opens on
a heavier blacked-out interior, with a long bar, a righteous jukebox and freestanding motorcycle complete with Hells Angels-ish bouncer. DJs play often, and for punk/industrial/goth enthusiasts there's no better place to be than the dance floor in back.
