Billing itself as “Chicago’s first Celtic Fusion restaurant and bar,” the Galway Arms is a comfortable, traditional Irish neighborhood pub in Lincoln Park that specializes in shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and Jameson-glazed pork chops. The food is even served by a staff with authentic (or at least authentic-sounding) Irish accents. With a large menu, wide-ranging drink selection (including, of course, Irish coffee), plenty of intimate rooms, and dim lighting, the Galway Arms offers the charm that chain pubs lack.
