Pretty much everyone becomes a beer connoisseur, if only for an hour or two, at Hopleaf. Here, it actually seems cool to pick through a selection of 200-plus beers and drink the imported Belgian ones out of traditional Belgian glassware (which usually has big wooden handles). The beer menus are more descriptive than the food menus, which offer little in the way of cheap bar food—try the rabbit stew or the duck-salad sandwich. Despite this, the main bar keeps up a casual, neighborhood-tavern feel.
