Carrying out her late husband’s dream, Beth Murphy (along with her sons, James and Brian) has brought upscale Irish fare with a dash of modernity to North Center. Belly up to the enormous teak bar flown in from Ireland, or sit at one of more than 100 tables with a view of the wood-burning oven. The menu features a thick New York strip with pepper-whiskey sauce and colcannon. Irish standards like sweetbread with mead and cabbage complement more modern dishes like the succulent pan-roasted duck breast with dried sour chutney and balsamic sauce.
