Andy Battaglia (city editor, New York) started writing about music for his college newspaper because he thought it very important that as many people as possible listen to the then-new Unrest album Perfect Teeth. After acquiring a journalism degree to buttress his passion for art history, he fled Athens, GA for New York, where the sounds of subways and hissing public works rewired his brain for what he presumes will be the rest of time. Now he lives in a cultural world triangulated, more or less, by techno, Buster Keaton, and Donald Barthelme.
