Scott Gordon's (city editor, Madison) favorite week in pop-culture history came in April 2002, when Jewel was thrown from a horse and Creed singer Scott Stapp got into a car crash (not far from his suburban Orlando hometown). After finishing college in 2005, Gordon blundered into a period of unpaid slavery in The Onion's Chicago office and eventually secured his current position in Madison, Wisconsin.
