"Wildwood Flower" by Loretta Lynn

The very idea of a June Carter Cash tribute album is odd, since Cash didn't write that many songs, and had most of her hits alongside her husband, Johnny Cash. As it happens, a lot of the songs on Anchored In Love were penned by non-Cash/non-Carter folk, and though it's pleasant to hear Sheryl Crow and Willie Nelson trade lines on Tim Hardin's immortal "If I Were A Carpenter," their more polished voices don't exactly evoke Johnny and June. Far more on-topic: Loretta Lynn's version of The Carter Family's "Wildwood Flower," imbued with all the nostalgia and fragility that the late Cash brought every time she picked up her autoharp.
