With another season of American Idol on the way next week, haters have reason to hope that the reality TV juggernaut might now be a little less juggernaut-like. According to Entertainment Weekly there are reports that Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard and Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks have been dropped by label J Records due to weak record sales. Of course, Season 5 runner-up Chris Daughtry is one of the biggest "rock" stars around at the moment, and Carrie Underwood is a huge country star. But it's somethin', haters.
