It looks like ’70s power-pop band The Rubinoos isn’t the only act Avril Lavigne has apparently ripped off. Astute YouTubers have discovered an undeniable similarity between Lavigne’s new “I Don’t Have To Try” and Peaches’ “I’m The Kinda” from 2003. As with “Girlfriend,” the Lavigne song that The Rubinoos are suing over, “I Don’t Have To Try,” is listed as being co-written by session player/producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald and Avril herself. There’s no word about a possible lawsuit from Peaches, though it seems like it would be an open-and-shut case:
