Don Herbert, also known as Mr. Wizard, died Tuesday at his Southern California home. Herbert made science cool--or at least more accessible--for kids in the '50s and '60s with his show Watch Mr. Wizard, and again for kids in the '70s and '80s with a show on Nickelodeon. Interesting tidbit from his obit: He worked as a model before he become a wizard. Herbert was 89.
