Due to a clash with General Motors—for whom Will Arnett does commercial voice-overs—the Arrested Development actor will no longer be the voice of smart-car KITT in NBC’s upcoming overhaul of Knight Rider. GM deemed it a conflict of interest for Arnett’s voice to be associated with KITT, a Ford Mustang. But fear not: Val Kilmer has stepped in to re-record Arnett’s parts for the show’s debut—set to be broadcast in a couple weeks—and he’ll stay on for what’s sure to be a long and creative run for the program. (As for Arnett, he’ll be voicing a sentient Segway on my new TV show Knight Roller.)
