As webcasters face down a nasty increase in streaming-music royalties (kicking in July 15), Ye Mighty SoundExchange--the organization that collects these royalties for the record industry--has shown a twinge of mercy: Webcasters who bring in less than $1.5 million a year will get a reprieve, at least until 2010.
