From Variety: After many small-screen ups and downs, Buffy/Angel/Firefly creator Joss Whedon is returning to Fox next year. His new series, titled Dollhouse, will star Buffy/Angel regular (and Tru Calling star) Eliza Dushku, and the show will center on a group of underground operatives programmed with special abilities. Fox has ordered seven episodes of Dollhouse for November 2008. Whedon says the show will have a strong Matrix feel, admitting, "I do have that entire movie tattooed on my brain."
