Hello, and welcome to the new-look A.V. Club. Take your time. Look at the colors. Pretty, no? And that new logo—sporty, huh? Oh, and what's this... a blog? What the...

This week marks the debut of the lovingly overhauled A.V. Club website. Longtime readers needn't worry—we haven't taken anything away. You'll still find the same mix of opinionated reviews, probing interviews, unpredictable special features, and our regular plunges into obscurity: Games of Our Lives, Films That Time Forgot, and Commentary Tracks Of The Damned.

You'll also find much more. But we'll get to that in a minute.

If you're a new reader, welcome aboard. We think you'll come to love our opinionated reviews, probing interviews, etc. etc. For a brief introduction, please click here

Okay? Did that clear things up? Now, onto the new stuff:

• Message boards: Want to sound off on our content, talk to fellow pop-culture obsessives, or just complain about our new site? We've got a message board all set up. (Please, keep it smart and respectful. Also, no Kurt Cobain murder theories. Let it go already.)
• Local content: If you live in a city that carries The Onion, we've got local content just for you. Only not yet. It's coming in a few weeks.
• A blog: Hey, did you know The A.V. Club launched a blog? Oh, yeah. You're on it. Here's where the staff engages in an ongoing, freewheeling discussion about what's going on in the worlds of arts and entertainment. It's going to be high-minded, erudite, and not the least bit frivolous and self-obsessed, like all those other blogs. Oh, who are we kidding? We'll be posting pictures of our pets in no time. In fact, here's my dog Sophie:
