Tagline: "The path to higher education is all downhill!"

Plot: At Joe Flaherty's ski resort, the uptight traditional skiers are being chased off the slopes by rebellious snowboarders, who react to signs like "No Skiing In Restricted Areas" by knocking them down. (Don't tell them what to do, old man!) When one of Flaherty's sons, "The Wizard" (Corey Haim) proposes that the resort make peace with the X-generation by opening a "boarding school," Flaherty's other son suggests that they hold a skiing-vs.-snowboarding race to settle the matter. Even though the snowboarding business takes off right away, Flaherty says, "A deal's a deal, and if the snowboarders don't win the upcoming contest, they're through." Meanwhile, Flaherty's ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen tries to sabotage the race by rolling giant snowballs down the hill, and Jim Varney mugs in the background, wearing a bedazzled jacket and a thick fur coat.

Key scenes: A non-English-speaking snow-bunny tries to get Haim to direct her to Mount Happiness by saying, "I want to mount a penis." In a further example of the movie's pun-tastic screenplay, yet another snow-bunny tries to point out the booger in a ski-patrol hunk's nose by saying, "It's snot," to which he replies, repeatedly, "Yes it is!" Then the ski-patrol hunk gets chased down the hill by snowboarders, who break his skis in two.

Can easily be distinguished by: The relentless, synthetic-sounding surf-guitar soundtrack, presumably intended for Boogie Board Academy before the producers found a good deal on a ski resort.

Sign that it was made in 1996: The movie is padded out with slow-motion snowboarding footage, but rather than the "big air" 360s and 540s of today, the extreme sportsmen of yesteryear stick with 90s and 45s.

Timeless message: Jim Varney, Corey Haim, Brigitte Nielsen and Joe Flaherty? Not too proud to work for their suppers.

Memorable quotes: Throughout the movie, the walls are papered with a flyer that reads, "My gonads go nuts for snowboards."
