It's an answer that has eluded most of us, and certainly Orlando Bloom, for some time. But I think he may have finally discovered the answer. Power is not measured in guns, or swords, or money, or sequels to movies based on boring rides at Disney World. No, power is the ability to do whatever you want in public. The authority to override the rules of society, and wear your recklessness on your sleeve as if it were a badge of honor. It's the privilege of not caring what anyone——not former world leaders, or respected authors, or even Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas——thinks of you.
In short, power is the ability to make out in front of Mikhail Gorbachev, Salman Rushdie, and at least one Earl while enduring a live performance of the Black Eyed Peas at a charity event.
From the NY Post:
Then again, maybe power is just the ability to get really, really drunk.
