Bootsy Collins, Eat Your Heart Out

Okay, I hope you guys or one of the other readers will recognize this. When I was a small child (I was born in '76, so we're talking about late '70s TV, maybe '80 or '81) I watched a lot of Sesame Street, Electric Company, Great Space Coaster, etc. There's one vivid memory I have, and I'm not sure if it was a recurring segment on one of these shows, or a separate show of its own. And unfortunately, all I remember is: skeletons, talking shoes, and bright colors. I believe there were two talking shoes: a "male" shoe that looked like a man's shoe (possibly blue), and a "female" shoe that may have been a pink or red heel or pump. They had faces and talked. Oh, and the shoes, along with the skeletons, were puppets, I believe. I seem to remember them appearing to have cloth-like textures. I have really vivid memories of these visuals, and they obviously had a lasting effect on me. But sometime I wonder if I ever saw them at all, or if my parents were slipping LSD into my sippy cup.
