Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band at Verizon Center

Bruce Springsteen has enjoyed a surprising amount of indie cred over the years—including the tribute to Nebraska that Sub Pop put out in 2000—but his performance during the 2009 Super Bowl halftime show confirmed that The Boss is still an arena-sized rocker who can ham it up with the best of them. And, more importantly, the band continues to sound great, which isn’t surprising considering the level of talent representing E Street, including Nils Lofgren and Steven Van Zandt on guitars, Clarence Clemons on sax, and Max Weinberg on drums. Last January’s Working On A Dream includes his Golden Globe-winning contribution to The Wrestler soundtrack as a bonus track.
