8 pm,
Ian McLagan at Jammin' Java
An influential keyboardist who's played with rock 'n' roll's Mount Rushmore (The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen), Ian McLagan was once a member of English mod boys Small Faces, turning in memorable organ and piano licks on hits such as "Itchycoo Park." When singer Steve Marriott was swapped for Rod Stewart, McLagan carried on in The Faces, inspiring decades of punk and pub rockers to come. Solo, McLagan has kept up the workingman's spirit on rootsy albums like 2004's Rise And Shine while holding down weekly happy hours at Austin's Lucky Lounge.
