Papa Roach, Jet, Morningwood, and Kill Hannah at Rams Head Live

Following the multi-platinum success of the band’s 2003 debut, Get Born—and a series of ubiquitous commercials that turned standout single “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” into an adman’s jingle—Jet suffered a case of backlash so severe that a satirical tribute group called Get Bored began shadowing the group on its home turf, mashing Jet songs with tracks from which the Aussie quartet allegedly borrowed. Haters got even more ammo after 2006’s Shine On, a stiff, disappointing sequel that failed to produce the kind of brilliantly brainless singles that made Jet so fun in the first place.
